Green City Growers is a Boston, MA company with a “home grown” business model. For not much more than the cost of hiring landscapers for a typical suburban lawn, Green City growers will set up an urban garden and maintain that garden through harvest time delivering your own organic home grown produce to you.

Green City Growers is founded and farmed by Gabriel Erde-Cohen. A Boston native, Gabe studied farming and sustainable design at Hampshire College in Western MA. He ventured on to study both Rural and Urban food growing in San Francisco, Wyoming, Colorado, and Scotland. Gabe was inspired to pursue Urban farming full time while on the Common Vision Fruit Tree Planting Tour, where he participated in planting one thousand fruit trees in urban areas around California.

Gabe has taught sustainability in Napa City, CA and Roxbury, MA. He has worked as a rancher, a farmer, an educator, and he and Anya are the proud parents of baby Riley, born in May 2008. Gabe strives to create a greener, more joyful city to leave for his son. He currently resides in Jamaica Plain.
